Magic Gloves

I had the opportunity to support a little girl at Christmas time.  While shopping for the perfect outfit from top to bottom, I found some gloves with "Magic Gloves" as the branding.  I liked that idea so I added them to the cart.  When checking out, a young girl asked me what "Magic Gloves" were?   I exclaimed, "They are magic, of course. They help you make your dreams come true."

Well....when I arrived back home, the girl's excited face encouraged me to sit down and write these words.  Enjoy.

Your Magic Gloves

These are no ordinary gloves, you know.

They are magic gloves to you and me.

For some, they do not see the charm,

Or, the wonderful adventure held in store.

But for the lucky ones, here is what you will find.

Slip on the gloves and you can become or do anything.

Now imagine with me just who you are,

When you have on your magic gloves.

You slip them on,

You stand up straight,

There is even a smile on your face.

After all you have on your magic gloves.

You begin to walk the path that leads you,

Straight to hope and internal joy.

You plan, You dream,

You envision glorious things.

It is like your favorite motion picture,

Only you are the star.

You have the fairy tale ending,

Because it is your story to tell.

The full length movie is complete,

With the times where you are all that you can be.

Ending with giving thanks to those who have helped,

And shared life’s journey along the way.

At the end of the day,

You slip your magic gloves in your coat pocket,

Waiting for the day that you are ready to dream again.

Seeing your future as only you can imagine it to be.

These are no ordinary gloves, you know.

They are magic gloves to you and me.
