The Coaching Session or Arrow

Coaching has an established framework.
- Begin Active or Proactive Listening. You are Getting in an Active Listening Mode so that you will be able to speak back the client's own words. Listen, Listen, Listen. Be comfortable with silence when you listen. Repeat back to the client what you have heard in the words the client uses.
- Establish Rapport. You are Establishing Trust so the client will speak openly.
- Agree on Contract. Ask the Questions, "What Do Hope to Accomplish in Our Time Together? What might be the Highest and Best Use of our Time together?" Then, determine if it is S.M.A.R.T.? Remember to have the client Phrase the Outcome Desired in the Positive and establish it an AS IF it has already happened Framework.
- Coach. Use a coaching tool or method.
- List Action Steps. Client outlines the actions steps that they have established from this conversation.
- Ask of the Value of the Time. Client expresses what they have found of value from this time together.
- Blessing or Honor. Remember to end the coaching session honoring from the time together.
