Katherine Nixon helps company executives implement their business growth strategies and professionals reach their personal and professional goals.  She is a CPA who is also a professional coach.  She utilizes her education and experience in auditing, accounting, income and estate tax law, coaching and business on projects where major changes are happening and where leadership, as well as timely, accurate numbers, is needed and tax-advantaged individual, business and estate consulting.

While still in college, Katherine began her career in public accounting.  Over the years, she has provided comprehensive services for shareholders from audits and tax preparation to estate tax planning and fiduciary reporting. Katherine has also served as controller in the aviation and construction industries. In 1990, she started her own firm providing business consulting and complex tax reporting as the cornerstones of her services.

Today, Katherine enjoys project management assignments targeted to reach specific goals in a tight timeframe.  She facilitates meeting financial and project deadlines through effective teamwork, addressing potential flashpoints directly and honoring individual prowess.  She specializes in post-acquisition mergers of systems, processes, and teams.

Katherine holds a BBA from Texas A&M University in Accounting.  She is a certified as a public accountant, a personal financial specialist, and a professional coach.  She has served on several state and local boards.  Katherine is an active volunteer in her community, professional and former student associations.  She has won numerous awards for communication and creativity.  Katherine's firm, SETFS.com, ranked 20th in the 2010 Aggie 100 by Mays Business School, honoring each year the 100 fastest growing Aggie-owned or led businesses in the world.  She developed and conducts coaching classes and leadership workshops.  She enjoys sharing her home on the continental divide in southern Colorado.
