Katherine Nixon, CPA, PFS, CLTC, CPC has been at the helm of her own business since 1990. She is certified as a public accountant, a personal financial specialist, and professional coach. Kathy holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Katherine Nixon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) with experience in public accounting beginning in 1975. Her successes have included, but are not limited to:
- Planning, conducting and preparing certified audit engagements on businesses in the areas of construction, real estate and project development, apartment rental, fast food, retail, service, homeowner associations, manufacturing and distribution.
- Preparing individual, compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements with technical competence and working knowledge of relevant governing rules.
- Spending considerable time with officer/shareholders, upper management and individuals concerning corporate and individual tax planning, cash flow analysis, bank financing, mergers and liquidations, retirement plan distributions, estate probate and tax planning.
- Working with attorneys in litigation discovery and support, including court testimony and speaking before congressional hearings.
- Preparing federal and income tax and other reporting returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates, including representing clients.
- Completing many complex contract assignments within tight deadlines.
Kathy likes to speak on tax law, investment & estate planning, and financial issues. She continues to write articles on tax laws, retirement decisions, wealth building, financial services, and estate tax planning & reporting related issues. She frequently attends courses on current financial information, tax law changes, and estate planning strategies. She has spoken before a Congressional hearing. She has been interviewed for radio, print and television.
Kathy has been active in the local Houston CPA Society since the early years in her business. She has been honored by the group of over 8,000 CPAs over the years. She was named the 1996-1997 Outstanding CPA of the Year. For 2001-2002 year, she received an award for being the Most Creative for the efforts made as the public relations chairperson. For the 2002-2003 year, she received a special recognition for efforts in their membership retention and recruitment program. For the 2003-2004 year, she received a Presidential Citation for continued work on the membership committee.
Kathy is Texas grown, where she was raised in Bellaire. She has been married since 1977. She and her husband, Kenny, have had their home in Northwest Houston since 1980. She is a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She enjoys spending time with her family, art, photography, traveling, and coaching.
